AI & Realistic Rendering
How does PaintVisualizer preserve lighting and shadows?
Our AI pipeline computes an ambient luminance pass that measures where direct sunlight enters through windows, where artificial lamps cast warm pools of light, and where furniture casts soft drop shadows. We blend true paint manufacturer pigments directly into this lighting matrix.
Will the paint color bleed over my picture frames or sofas?
No. PaintVisualizer performs intelligent semantic surface segmentation. It detects distinct architectural surfaces (interior walls, ceilings, kitchen cabinets, trims, and exterior facades) while masking out windows, wall art, lamps, rugs, and furniture.
What is the difference between paint finishes (Matte vs Satin vs Semi-Gloss)?
Matte absorbs light and provides a velvety, non-reflective finish ideal for ceilings and low-traffic bedrooms. Satin and Eggshell offer balanced soft lusters with scrubbability for living spaces. Semi-Gloss has higher reflectivity (35-70% sheen) ideal for moisture resistance on kitchen cabinets, trim, and bathrooms.
Billing, Credits & Plans
What happens if a render encounters an error?
Your credit is 100% protected. If our background queue encounters a network error, provider timeout, or unpaintable image, the backend stored procedure automatically triggers a render_refund transaction and returns your credit balance immediately.
Can I purchase additional render credits?
Yes, users on any plan can purchase credit packs directly from the Billing tab, or upgrade to Pro or Business for higher monthly allowances and dedicated queue priority.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes, you can cancel in one click via your billing dashboard. You will retain all remaining credits and access until the end of your billing period.
Mobile App & Photos
Is there a mobile app for iOS and Android?
Yes! Our React Native + Expo mobile application allows you to snap a photo with your phone camera, instantly pick paint colors with touch swatches, and view renders with interactive touch sliders. Your projects sync automatically between phone and web.
What image formats and resolutions are supported?
We support JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WEBP formats up to 25MB and resolutions up to 4096x4096. For best results, capture your space during natural daylight with blinds open.
